His Grace is our Victory- Accept and Receive His Grace

Tit 2:11 For God has revealed his grace for the salvation of all people.

“Charis” Grace, = acceptable, benefit, favor, gift, gracious, joy, liberality, pleasure, thanks, -worthy. Def. = divine influence upon your heart, and its reflection in your life

1. Grace if you need help

Heb 4:16 Therefore let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

  • Our redemption, and salvation work he did, gives us boldness to go to God.
  • Two major things to receive. Grace/Mercy
Ø Grace is receiving the blessings you do not deserve.

Ø Mercy is not getting the punishment you deserve.

· come boldly – God loved you, wants to reconcile, send Jesus
Rom 5:8 Christ died for us while we were still sinners. This demonstrates God's love for us. Since Christ's blood has now given us God's approval, we are even more certain that Christ will save us from God's anger.

  • Not what we have done, but all what Jesus has done, by his blood.
· obtain mercy
Eph 2:4 But God's mercy is so abundant, and his love for us is so great, that while we were spiritually dead in our disobedience he brought us to life with Christ. It is by God's grace that you have been saved.
  • Mercy is abundant,(rich) and love is great
  • Mercy is not getting the punishment you deserve.

2. Grace to serve

1Co 15:10 But by God's grace I am what I am, and the grace that he gave me was not without effect. On the contrary, I have worked harder than any of the other apostles, although it was not really my own doing, but God's grace working with me.

  • Grace make me what I am, Grace was not wasted on me. Does His grace compel you to serve him?
  • Grace will have an effect on your commitment, choice of participation and service to God.
3. Grace brings God glory

2Co 4:15 All this is for your sake; (MSG-Every detail works to your advantage) and as God's grace reaches more and more people, they will offer to the glory of God more prayers of thanksgiving.

  • The more people experience and receive God’s grace, the more glory to God.
4. Grace to overcome Sin

Tit 2:12 That grace instructs us to give up (avoid) (Amp trained us to reject and renounce) ungodly living and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled (discreetly, soberly), upright (moral),and godly lives (righteously) in this world,

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under Law, but under grace.

  • We need to take it and make it yours, by Grace I will overcome.

Rom 5:20 (MSG) All that passing laws against sin did was produce more lawbreakers. But sin didn't, and doesn't, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it's sin versus grace, grace wins hands down.

5. Grace to overcome the Devil

Jas 4:6 But the grace that God gives is even stronger. As the scripture says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." So then, submit yourselves to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you.
  • Grace is stronger than the enemy, submit, from the position of grace, resist the enemy.
  • Because of God’s grace I will not allow this.

Luk 10:19 Behold, I give to you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the authority of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.

6. Grace to bring Blessings

Col 1:6 The gospelkeeps bringing blessings and is spreading throughout the world, just as it has among you ever since the day you first heard about the grace of God and came to know it as it really is.

2Co 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor, in order that you might be made rich through His poverty.

2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that in everything,always having all self-sufficiency, you may abound to every good work;

Rom 8:32 Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

  • Ø Grace is receiving the blessings you do not deserve.
  • Ø Mercy is not getting the punishment you deserve.
